As part of my master's project, I collaborated with three audio reporters to produce a podcast about aging in New York City. Our team was led by Daniel Alarcón, and our work was featured in Next Avenue. I reported an episode about arts programs for dementia patients.
Life Outside The Lines
In early 2017, my grandfather passed away from complications of vascular dementia. My family never truly dealt with his diagnosis, and the end of his life felt totally disconnected from how he lived. I set out in search of a better way to live with dementia. This is what I found.
