The Heist is a five-part investigative podcast from the Center for Public Integrity. The series won the Ambie Award for "Best Business Podcast" in 2021, and was nominated for a DuPont-Columbia Award. I wrote the script for episode three, "Buyer's Remorse," which takes an in-depth look at the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

I worked with archival tape and interviews conducted by Sally Herships to generate a comprehensive outline of the episode and subsequent drafts, which were reviewed by the show's editors. I crafted characters and scenes out of Sally's tape to produce an accessible and entertaining tour of the tax codes, economic theories, and political machinations that resulted in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
